Mrs. Jean Shearer 1942-2023

January 15, 2022, passed away peacefully at her home in Joshua, Texas, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Shearer was born Nelda Jeanette Bowles in Pilot Nob, Missouri, November 25, 1942, to Howard and Rose Lee Bowles. They lived in Missouri for a while then moved to Dove Creek, Colo.

She graduated from school there after then she moved with her parents to Silverton, she went to beauty college in Farmington, NM.

And came back to Silverton, where she went to work for Mrs. Wilma Bingel. She met and married Mr. William (Bill) shearer until his death in a mining accident. She then moved to Durango, Colo and worked for Albert and Jenny Committie, running their gas station.

In 1978 she and her girls followed her parents to Keene, Texas, where she began working as a certified nurse’s aide and was given the opportunity to become a Nurse. A lifelong dream.

She continued in this profession until she retired and after the deaths of her parents, moved to Joshua, where she lived until her death.

She is preceded in death by her parents Howard and Rose Lee Bowles, Husband William Shearer, Her nieces Dr. Sheri Bowles and Mrs. Debra Bowles O’Neal. She is survived by her Brother Dr.

William Bowles and his wife Shirley of Plano, Tx, nephew William Bowles and his wife Donna of Decatur, Tx.

Her daughter’s Elizabeth Bowles Garcia, her husband Rene’ Garcia of Joshua, Texas, granddaughter Dallas police Officer Michele Garcia of Burleson, Tx, grandson Markus Garcia of Joshua. Barbara Shearer Davis and her husband Michael of Kennidale, Tx. And her children, Joshua Allen and his wife Reah of Cleburne, Tx, Sarah Keel and her husband Chance of Godley, Tx, Brett Allen and his wife LeAnn of Cleburne, Tx, Gary Allen and his wife Brooke of Red River, NM. And Brittany Allen and her partner Chad Helms of Joshua Tx. And 20 some great grandchildren.
